I am an EPFL AI Center and Swiss AI Initiative Postdoctoral Fellow at EPFL, Switzerland, jointly hosted by three labs: the Visual Intelligence and Learning Lab of Prof. Dr. Amir Zamir, the NeuroAI Lab of Prof. Dr. Martin Schrimpf, and the Machine Learning for Biomedicine Lab of Prof. Dr. Maria Brbić. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at MBZUAI, working with Prof. Dr. Salman Khan and Prof. Dr. Fahad Shahbaz Khan on World Model🌍. I achieved my Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Italian National Artificial Intelligence Program co-organized by the University of Trento, Italy and the University of Pisa, Italy under the joint supervision of Prof. Dr. Nicu Sebe and Prof. Dr. Rita Cucchiara. During my Ph.D. time, I spent time at ETH Zürich as visiting Ph.D. Scholar with Prof. Dr. Luc Van Gool. I also work closely with Prof. Dr. Ming-Hsuan Yang. Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I received my master's degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hong Liu from Peking University, China, and received my B.Eng. degree from Central South University, China.

My research focuses on multimodal representation learning and geometry-aware world modeling: how AI systems can build a coherent understanding of the physical world by combining vision, 3D geometry, language, and interaction, so that they can remember objects across viewpoints, reason about hidden parts of a scene, and act more reliably in complex environments. Along this path, and motivated by learning more informative representations with Vision Transformers (I like ViTs!), I have worked on Low-Level Vision (2D), Scene Understanding (3D), Multimodal Reasoning, and Embodied World Modeling. Outside of research, I enjoy hiking 🏔️ and cooking 🍳.
